Has anyone ever heard of john bonham? All the drummers you listed are great at what they do but they would'nt be here if john bonham(Led Zeppelin)
never came around! Therfor in my personal opinion john bonham is the best drummer that ever lived!!! I also like sully erna and shannon larkin from godsmack, sean kinny from alice in chains, brad wilk from audioslave, and danny carrey from tool! Oh and by they way, Lars ulrich sucks! He did'nt even practiece rudiments!!!

Yanic Bercier from Quo Vadis is an instant classic...it's a technical/melodic death metal band from Canada, similar to Kataklysm and Necrophagist. For the record, Joey Jordison is a tool of drumming. Just because he's winning the popularity contest, doesn't mean he's the most skilled, which isn't saying he lacks the ability to drum...but Slipknot is like a gateway drug, in that it's heavy to new listeners, but it loses it's edge and you need something better. Something better being Deicide, Cynic, Psycroptic, Arsis, and even Lamb of God (despite their more mainstream approach on Sacrament) are all decent, if not great drumming. I'd list a few black metal bands, but the blast beats are too monotonous.

I forgot Athiest; the mother that spawned technical death metal. Their song 'Mother' is amazing...also, Bloodbath is one heavy riff after another, with slightly better drums than some previously listed bands. Meshuggah, Tool, Mudvayne, and System of a Down aren't great drummers. This of course, is just another unheard voice of the minority in the metal world that in my opinion is slowly deteriorating...metal needs a *Baloney Pop*, not Britney Spears. #Cussing out

Everyone has their own music sound that just strikes you in just the right way. Although I am not a drummer (well I thump them and can keep a beat) but don't know about claiming who is 'good' and not. But the drummer from Tool in my opinion has such a unique sound. He is just incredible in my opinion. As I stated before some bands just hit people with the right tone and it's perfect for them. But from a drummer stance, you really don't think there's talent there? I hate mainstream music, I don't feel that tool is (although yes they're played on the radio) But do they need that to have a fan base? I don't think so, the fans of Tool are fans for life, they unite and become one at a show. I have had some intense moments w/ my buddy Maynard and mind enhancing particles (oh yea) which maybe why they are that close to me in a music sense.

Hi all
My favorite drummer is Raymond Herrera from Fear Factory. He is cool dude. I also like Lars from Metallica. He is also a cool dude.
